About this role

Job summary

We are looking for a motivated Receptionist to join our small friendly team. Immediate start, but we are willing to wait for the right candidate.

Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Multitasking ability is preferential and helpful in this busy role.

Previous NHS experience would be an advantage but not necessary.

The post is 15 hours per week, but we have some flexibility with this.

Hours of work are negotiable.

Main duties of the job

Ensure that all reception duties and tasks are carried out in an effective, efficient and professional manner in line with the practices guidelines, procedures and protocols Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice Undertake general office and reception duties including front desk, telephone and email. Liaise with outside agencies Support colleagues and be a team player Respect confidentiality and data protection rules Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way Prioritizing Organization IT skills ( Word, Excel, Outlook) Efficiency and professionalism Initiative and problem-solving Reliable Attention to detail Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Excellent customer service skills Multitasking

About us

Our patient population is around 3,800 patients.

We have parking on-site, and there are local bus, train and tram services. All within walking distance of the surgery.

We are a forward-looking practice. We use SystmOne.

Job description Job responsibilities

You will be responsible for the general administrative duties within the Practice and work with our established processes, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service and deal efficiently and courteously with patient enquiries. You will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate and friendly nature who can operate in a busy environment with a range of people and professions, as you will be working with our clinical and administration teams.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised and an effective communicator who can provide a professional and warm welcome to our patients, ensuring every contact is of the highest quality. IT skills are essential, as you will be regularly creating searches, data input and monitoring our achievements and progress against national, local, and internal targets.

You will be responsible for providing a full administrative service.
