*About the Position*
AMDF Cleaning Services Inc. is recruiting experienced Non-Working Janitorial Supervisors for full-time positions in the Greater Victoria area.
This is primarily a supervisory position. The successful candidates will oversee cleaning personnel, coordinate schedules, conduct quality-control inspections, provide employee training and ensure that cleaning, safety and reporting requirements are consistently met.
Non-Working Supervisors are not normally assigned regular cleaning duties. Their primary responsibilities are supervising personnel, maintaining service quality and supporting contract performance.
Responsibilities
The Non-Working Janitorial Supervisor will:
* Supervise and coordinate cleaning personnel across assigned facilities * Prepare employee schedules and daily work assignments * Ensure required staffing levels are maintained * Monitor employee attendance, punctuality and time records * Arrange replacement coverage for absences, vacations and emergencies * Conduct and document regular quality-control inspections * Identify and promptly correct cleaning deficiencies * Train and orient new cleaning personnel * Provide ongoing cleaning, equipment and workplace-safety training * Monitor employee performance and provide appropriate coaching * Ensure cleaning tasks meet established performance standards * Track daily, periodic, biannual and annual cleaning requirements * Maintain accurate inspection, scheduling and performance records * Monitor cleaning supplies, equipment and consumable inventories * Ensure employees use appropriate cleaning products, equipment and personal protective equipment * Respond promptly and professionally to client questions and complaints * Investigate service concerns and implement corrective action * Communicate with AMDF management and authorized client representatives * Report maintenance, safety, security and operational concerns * Ensure compliance with WHMIS, occupational health and safety and site-security requirements * Protect client information, keys, access cards and identification passes * Complete incident reports and other required documentation
Mandatory Experience
Applicants must have:
* At least 24 consecutive months of experience supervising cleaning personnel * Qualifying supervisory experience obtained within the last five years * Experience in commercial, industrial, institutional or government facilities * Experience supervising and coordinating multiple cleaning employees * Experience assigning work and preparing employee schedules * Experience conducting quality-control inspections * Experience identifying and correcting service deficiencies * Verifiable employment dates and professional references

Mandatory Certifications
Applicants must currently hold and provide copies of valid certificates in:
* WHMIS for Managers and Supervisors, completed after 2022 * WHMIS for Workers, completed after 2022 * Health and Safety for Managers and Supervisors and/or * Occupational Health and Safety Certifications * Asbestos Awareness * Emergency or Basic First Aid * CPR and AED

Security Requirements
Applicants must:
* Hold or be eligible to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Status or Secret security clearance * Successfully complete all required background and security screening * Be legally entitled to work in Canada * Follow all confidentiality and site-security requirements * Demonstrate discretion when handling client and operational information
