AMDF Cleaning Services Inc. is accepting applications from dedicated and dependable cleaners to join our Saskatoon evening-cleaning team.
The Evening Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and professional commercial environment after regular business hours. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written cleaning schedules and a commitment to completing assigned duties properly and on time.
Regular and backup positions are available. Backup cleaners must be prepared to provide replacement coverage when regular employees are unavailable. Occasional weekend availability may also be required for periodic or additional cleaning.
Responsibilities
* Sweep, damp mop, scrub and maintain hard-surface flooring; * Vacuum carpets, rugs and entrance mats; * Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, ledges, baseboards and other designated surfaces; * Clean and disinfect washrooms, toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, mirrors and fixtures; * Clean entrances, hallways, offices, lunchrooms and common areas; * Clean doors, frames, handles, push bars, kick plates, glass and other high-touch surfaces; * Empty garbage, recycling and compost containers as assigned; * Replace garbage liners and maintain waste-collection areas; * Refill soap, paper-towel, hand-sanitizer and other dispensers as required; * Remove spots, fingerprints, scuff marks, cobwebs and visible dirt; * Perform periodic cleaning, including wall washing, carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, floor scrubbing, waxing and refinishing when assigned; * Return furniture and accessories to their proper positions after cleaning; * Follow detailed cleaning schedules, service frequencies and site-specific procedures; * Use only authorized cleaning products, materials and equipment; * Follow WHMIS requirements and manufacturer instructions when handling cleaning products; * Maintain service logs and accurately document completed work; * Report spills, damage, hazards, equipment problems, access issues and unusual conditions to management; * Follow all sign-in, key-control, access-card, confidentiality and site-security procedures; * Protect client property and avoid touching restricted materials, equipment or surfaces; * Observe the condition of lighting, cleaning equipment and facility areas and report concerns promptly; and * Perform other related cleaning duties as assigned.
*Mandatory Requirements*
Applicants must have:
* A valid and current WHMIS certificate; or can obtain one; * A minimum of three years of commercial or institutional cleaning experience; * Experience cleaning facilities of comparable size or complexity; * Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures and proper equipment use; * Ability to provide a detailed and accurate résumé; * At least one verifiable professional or employer reference; * Ability to successfully complete any background and site-access screening required for the position; * Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards; * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; * Ability to follow written schedules, instructions and safety procedures; * Excellent time-management skills; * Reliable transportation or another dependable way to report to work on time; * Availability to work Monday to Friday evenings; * Occasional weekend availability; * Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift and perform repetitive cleaning duties for extended periods; and * Legal authorization to work in Canada.
