The successful applicant is an excellent communicator, detailed and tactful in managing stakeholder expectations with considerable experience integrating cutting edge technology in existing building conditions, leading the development of the project and project team (both internal and external) through to successful completion.DutiesUnder the direction of Manager or designate, the principle responsibilities include:Developing and implementing strategies to effectively manage project start-upUser group consultation scope processPerforming financial management activitiesEvolve schedules and specificationsPreparing contracts and negotiating revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and contractorsHiring and supervising the activities of contractors, subcontractors and / or trades peoplePerforming quality management responsibilitiesPerforming administrative and financial management responsibilities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the department; performing cross functional duties as assigned and / or requestedPerforming other duties consistent with the job classificationQualificationsCompletion of an undergraduate degree program in architecture, engineering science or recognized equivalentFive (5) to seven (7) years of practical and related experience with medical equipment replacement in a construction related environment.Demonstrated knowledge of Building codes and standards applicable to acute healthcare environments.Construction project management experience in an acute health care research hospital facility preferred.Knowledge of Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives and Supply Chain Guidelines or procurement process is an asset. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation required.Strong and controlled verbal, visual, and written communication skills, to both internal and external stakeholders required.
