We are seeking a dependable Parts Specialist / Counter Sales Representative to join our team! In this multi-faceted role, you will be the hub of our parts operations-serving walk-in, phone, and email customers, supplying our internal service technicians with required components, and managing day-to-day warehouse shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks. Key Responsibilities Parts Counter Sales & Customer Support:
• Assist walk-in retail customers, internal service technicians, and external clients via phone and email to identify and fulfill parts orders. • Interpret technical equipment schematics, parts diagrams, and catalog systems accurately to ensure the right components are selected. • Act as a brand ambassador by delivering exceptional, friendly, and knowledgeable service across all client and internal department interactions. Order Fulfillment, Shipping & Receiving:
• Pick, pack, and inspect parts orders for local delivery, shipping, or transfer to branch locations using correct warehousing protocols. • Receive, inspect, log, and stock routine vendor shipments as well as high-priority emergency parts orders. • Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to move heavy equipment components. • Handle vendor returns, warranty parts processes, and proper disposal/scrapping of non-returnable inventory according to company guidelines. Inventory Control & Logistics:
• Participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits in coordination with parts management. • Identify and correct inventory discrepancies, short/over situations, and duplicate bin locations. • Operate company vehicles to pick up or deliver urgent parts and supplies as directed. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or technical school certificate in parts operations, or equivalent experience in warehouse distribution. • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record to operate company delivery vehicles. • Forklift Certification (In house training provided). • Working knowledge of heavy equipment, construction machinery, or automotive mechanical systems. • Ability to read and interpret technical parts diagrams and schematic drawings. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first attitude. Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in a heavy equipment dealership, agricultural, or industrial machinery parts department. Physical Demands
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy parts and equipment up to 50-75 lbs. • Willingness to perform manual labor, including bending, reaching, standing for extended periods, and working in warehouse or shop environments. What We Offer
