We're looking for a Building Surveyor to join our Colliers Project Leaders team in Auckland.

Key Responsibilities
Undertake building surveys including condition assessments, technical due diligence inspections, measured surveys, access audits, and compliance reviewsPrepare high-quality technical reports, schedules, and client deliverablesCarry out defect assessments, investigations, and maintenance planning activitiesAssist with insurance assessments, reinstatement projects, and claims-related workSupport the delivery of project management services including contract administration, procurement, and project coordinationMonitor construction works and provide site observations and progress reportingParticipate in client meetings and contribute technical advice and recommendationsLiaise directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authoritiesAssist with business development activities and contribute to maintaining strong client relationshipsContribute to a high-performing team culture focused on technical excellence and client outcomes The Value You'll Add
Degree qualified in Building Surveying, Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related disciplineApproximately 2 to 4 years' experience in building surveying, consultancy, construction, property, or a related fieldWorking knowledge of building construction methods, building pathology, and maintenance planning principlesUnderstanding of relevant New Zealand building legislation, codes, and industry standardsAbility to undertake inspections and prepare professional reports with minimal supervisionStrong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skillsWell-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesProactive and client-focused, with a collaborative approach to working within project teamsWorking towards, or interested in pursuing, NZIBS and RICS accreditationStrong Microsoft Office skillsFull New Zealand driver's licenseWhat we offer
