Rate of Pay: $23.94/hour + DOE
Summary:
The Dietary Aide performs a variety of tasks in the preparation, presentation and service of food. Maintains department cleanliness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Determines quantities of food items necessary for the meals.
• Ability to identify high quality food through tasting, attractively and creatively portioning and garnishing food; including pureed and special diet food.
• Stores and stocks food supplies in designated areas.
• Washes and stores dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Maintains department cleanliness by accomplishing daily cleaning assignments.
• Prepares food such as salads, beverages, sandwiches, and pureed food.
• Assembles patient trays.
• Pushes loaded food carts to each patient area.
• Delivers patient trays to the patients.
• Has strong customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and with little or no daily supervision.
• Ability to use kitchen equipment (sharps, meat slicer).
• Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
• Complies with System policies and procedures.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Education and Experience:
Certificate from college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience.
Licenses, Certifications:
Serve Safe Food Handlers Certificate - Within 3 months of hire into job
Other Experience/Qualifications
Experience in quality food production.
