About this role
As Housekeeping Manager, you shape the cleanliness, readiness, and service standards across Nemacolin's hotel rooms, condos, luxury homes, public spaces, and other assigned areas. Your leadership connects daily housekeeping execution with guest satisfaction, associate development, safety, and financial performance. You will lead with a hands-on presence, develop a capable team, and help ensure every space reflects the level of care expected in a luxury resort environment.
What You Will Create
• A consistently polished property by overseeing daily housekeeping operations across hotel rooms, condos, luxury homes, public spaces, outlying areas, and dry cleaning
• Exceptional guest experiences through responsive service, active guest relations, VIP room inspections, timely follow-up on concerns, and support for initiatives that elevate the guest experience
• A confident, engaged, and capable housekeeping team through training, mentoring, associate engagement, performance feedback, motivation, development, retention, and appropriate disciplinary action
• Safe and reliable daily operations through staffing oversight, regular product and personnel safety audits, adherence to safety protocols, and hands-on support when operational needs arise
• Strong financial and administrative performance by working within budget, reviewing daily financial reports, providing recommendations, assisting with the annual operating budget, approving management schedules, and ensuring accurate, timely payroll
• Operational continuity through effective communication of resort news, attendance at required meetings, coordination with executives, associates, family members, owners, and other contacts, and completion of critical correspondence and administrative deliverables
• Stronger resort business opportunities by assisting the Sales Team with tours, site visits, upselling activities, and experiences that support group business, while contributing to the growth and maintenance of area services
What You Can Expect
• A highly visible, hands-on leadership role where you move throughout the operation, interact with guests and associates, inspect spaces, and respond to changing priorities
• Daily collaboration with housekeeping leadership, associates, resort leadership, Sales, executives, owners, and other internal and external contacts
• A fast-paced environment requiring sound judgment, confidentiality, organization, and the ability to manage immediate operational needs alongside longer-term projects
• Regular involvement in guest recovery, VIP experiences, special projects, associate engagement, and initiatives that influence the overall resort experience
• Varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with substantial time spent standing and moving throughout the property

• Strong organization and time management, allowing you to balance deadline-driven daily needs with longer-term projects involving multiple stakeholders
• A hands-on approach to leadership, with the willingness to step into the operation, support associates, interact with guests, and address challenges directly
• Professional communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization and with external contacts
• A commitment to developing people, strengthening performance, and building a team culture focused on exceptional service
• The adaptability and composure to remain effective in a high-pressure environment while managing competing priorities
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's or four-year degree preferred, and at least 18 years of age
• 1-2 years of Housekeeping Manager experience overseeing housekeeping operations in a luxury resort setting, including experience working with international staff
• Proven track record of staff development and retention
• Superior customer service training and an outgoing, guest-focused approach
• Fluent English communication
• Basic mathematical ability
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 5–30 pounds
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including continuous standing for approximately 95% of the shift, equipment operation for 15%, kneeling for 20%, bending for 50%, climbing for 35%, and driving for 40% of the scheduled shift
