• Consistent standards of medical quality by driving the domains of quality across staff, effectiveness, patient and client-centered care, timeliness, efficiency, and equity while conducting regular hospital inspections and quality audits
• A confident and capable veterinary team through onboarding, mentorship, clinical skill development, leadership coaching, career development planning, education, and mentorship of veterinary student externs
• Strong client relationships built on trust by clearly communicating diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, wellness options, home-care instructions, and follow-up while addressing and resolving concerns with professionalism and empathy
• An efficient, high-performing hospital by supporting daily schedules and caseloads, delegating appropriately to paraprofessional team members, improving workflow, charging accurately for services and products, and pursuing opportunities to strengthen medical quality, efficiency, and profitability
• A compliant and ethically operated practice through adherence to the State Veterinary Practice Act, controlled substance requirements, radiation safety, medical record standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
• A stronger veterinary community and Wooflands reputation by building relationships with veterinary organizations, regulatory boards, vendors, referral hospitals, and other professional contacts while actively participating in local, state, and national veterinary organizations
• Sustainable hospital performance by supporting veterinary quality KPIs, practice revenue goals, performance metrics, preventive care adoption, and wellness plans in partnership with hospital leadership and the office manager
What You Can Expect
• A highly collaborative clinical environment working alongside veterinarians, technicians, support staff, hospital leadership, the office manager, clients, and the broader veterinary community
• A role that balances hands-on medicine and surgery with team leadership, coaching, hospital oversight, client communication, and operational decision-making
• A fast-paced caseload requiring strong organization, sound clinical judgment, prioritization, and the ability to respond effectively to changing needs
• Regular opportunities to educate clients and associates, mentor developing veterinary professionals, and contribute to the continued growth of the hospital and profession
• Professional visibility through relationships with veterinary organizations, regulatory bodies, vendors, referral hospitals, and other industry partners
What You Bring

• The organization and initiative to independently manage assignments, follow through on commitments, and balance immediate clinical needs with longer-term priorities
• The ability to remain effective in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and exercising discretion
• A genuine interest in advancing veterinary knowledge, developing colleagues, mentoring students, and contributing to the broader veterinary profession
