About this role
The Associate Director leads high-impact consulting engagements at the intersection of pricing, market access, and commercialization strategy for leading pharmaceutical and biotech clients. This role combines client leadership, strategic advisory work, and team development in a fast-growing life sciences consulting practice.
What You'll Do
Client & Engagement Leadership
• Serve as day-to-day client lead across multiple engagements, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
• Lead client meetings and executive discussions, delivering insights and recommendations with credibility
• Identify opportunities to expand scope and deepen long-term client partnerships
Strategic Advisory
• Lead engagements in pricing strategy, market access, reimbursement, payer strategy, evidence generation, launch planning, and portfolio optimization
• Advise clients across the product lifecycle from pre-launch through lifecycle management and competitive differentiation
• Translate market dynamics, payer requirements, and policy trends into actionable strategic guidance
Project Delivery
• Oversee multiple concurrent engagements; planning, staffing, budgeting, risk management, and financial performance
• Direct workplans, analytical frameworks, and client deliverables
• Synthesize complex qualitative/quantitative data into clear, actionable recommendations
Team Leadership
• Mentor and develop Consultants, Associate Consultants, Senior Analysts, and Analysts
• Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture
• Support performance management, career development, and recruiting
Business Development
• Contribute to proposals, pitches, and account growth opportunities
• Support thought leadership through publications, conferences, and internal capability building
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Health Economics, Business, or related field (advanced degree — MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD, MSc — preferred)
• 7+ years in management consulting, pharma strategy, market access, pricing, or commercialization
• Proven experience leading client-facing consulting engagements and managing project teams
• Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing, reimbursement, and market access dynamics (US and/or global)
• Strong executive presence, communication skills, and project budgeting experience
• Demonstrated coaching and people-leadership capabilities
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams
• Comfort operating in a global, cross-cultural environment
