Ngāti Hine Health Trust (NHHT) is one of Northland's largest and most respected Māori health and social service providers. With over 400 kaimahi delivering services across health, disability, mental health and addictions, housing, education, justice, Whānau Ora and social services, we are committed to uplifting the wellbeing of whānau, hapū and hāpori.

We are seeking a Kaitautoko Kounga (Quality Assurance Support Person) to join our Quality Assurance team and support continuous improvement across the Trust.

About the Role

Reporting to the Health & Safety Lead, you will play an important role in supporting quality assurance activities, audits, compliance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives across NHHT.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is organised, analytical, passionate about quality systems and keen to make a positive difference within a kaupapa Māori environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of NHHT's quality assurance programme

• Review and maintain policies, procedures and documentation systems

• Assist with internal and external audits and compliance activities

• Collect, analyse and evaluate information to support quality outcomes

• Monitor audit findings and corrective action plans

• Prepare reports and provide administrative support to quality assurance initiatives

• Support organisational evaluation and continuous improvement projects

• Build positive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders

• Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and compliance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualification (or working towards one), or equivalent experience

• Experience in administration, systems management or quality assurance support

• Strong organisational and reporting skills

• High attention to detail and the ability to analyse information

• Experience working independently and managing competing priorities

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

• Understanding of risk management and continuous improvement principles

• Experience facilitating meetings or hui is desirable

• Strong communication and relationship management skills
