Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year
Requirements: We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with proficient applied experience.We require hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.We require advanced proficiency in Python.We require proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle.We require experience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native delivery practices, including Terraform, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment workflows.We require experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.We require experience building large-scale infrastructure and cloud-native delivery practices in Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure, along with Terraform.We require extensive experience implementing advanced observability using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, Grafana, and/or cloud-native services.We require systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex systems.We require hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment, with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.We require understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.Preferred: prior experience working in AI cloud infrastructure.Preferred: prior experience developing GenAI apps or AI agents.Preferred: previous experience as an Infrastructure or Platform Software Engineer in a dynamic technology company or startup.Preferred: self-managed, self-motivated approach with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive. Responsibilities: We design and implement solutions that enhance the reliability and scalability of AI/ML platforms and applications to support fast-growing demands.We own non-functional requirements and develop tooling for observability, security, resilience, infrastructure management, and operations excellence.We build and maintain scalable infrastructure to support the deployment and operation of large-scale AI platforms and applications.We build strong cross-functional relationships to foster collaboration across the organization and deliver solutions to user problems.We participate in on-call rotations and escalation workflows.We debug and solve issues in production environments, take full ownership of problems, and develop solutions.We execute creative software solutions across design, development, and technical troubleshooting, and we think beyond routine approaches to solve technical problems.We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.We identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability across software applications and systems.We leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.We contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
