Requirements: Active SC Security Clearance is essential for this contract.Strong Power BI experience, including in-depth expertise with datasets, semantic models, and data modelling.Experience working with SQL-based data sources.Power BI Copilot AI-assisted tooling experience is preferred.Government or Public Sector experience is preferred. Responsibilities: We are looking for a Data Engineer to support a large-scale Government project on a 6-month rolling contract.We will work with Power BI models and reports to ensure they are well-structured and aligned to upstream curated data sources.We will analyse and maintain Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reports.We will ensure a clean separation between data processing and reporting.We will refactor Power BI models to consume curated and upstream data sources.We will ensure business logic is implemented upstream rather than embedded in reports.We will validate report behaviour, measures, and refresh processes following data model changes. This is a 6-month rolling contract with hybrid working, typically 3-4 days per week remote and 1-2 days per week on-site in Leeds, with an immediate start targeted for September 2026.
