Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements: Extensive experience in senior DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, or Technical Architecture roles.Strong background delivering large-scale cloud transformation programmes.Expertise with AWS and modern cloud architecture patterns.Advanced Python scripting and automation experience.Strong Kubernetes experience, particularly within AWS environments.Extensive experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, governance, and operational best practices.Proven experience engaging with senior business and technical stakeholders.Experience working within a consultancy, professional services, or client-facing environment.Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.Experience working within Agile delivery environments. Responsibilities: Define and promote DevOps architecture standards, engineering best practices, and technical strategy.Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping shape technology roadmaps and transformation programmes.Lead complex cloud and infrastructure engagements across multiple client environments.Provide technical leadership and governance for cloud-native platforms and managed services.Mentor and coach engineers, supporting both technical development and career growth.Contribute to pre-sales activities, proposals, and technical solution design.Represent the organisation through thought leadership, community engagement, and industry events.Support hiring activities and help develop a high-performing engineering practice. We are hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our Managed Services team in a highly influential role that combines technical leadership, client engagement, consulting, and hands-on engineering. This role is based in Leeds, Manchester, or Scotland, with 2 days per week in the office, and includes participation in an on-call rota. You will help shape cloud strategy, provide architectural guidance, mentor engineers, and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, cloud-native platforms while supporting business growth and technical excellence across multiple client engagements.
