Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements: Proven ability of strong team skills, including working in a multi-disciplinary teamGood verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate issues to technical and non-technical audiencesSignificant expertise in use of multiple configuration management, infrastructure provisioning, and automation toolsFluency in at least one of the following: Powershell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or GroovyExperience designing, building, testing, automating, monitoring, and supporting significant components within a modern digital service platformExperience producing designs that are scalable, resilient, efficient, secure, cost-effective, and minimize lock-inExperience contributing to technical decisions, architecture, estimation, product planning, and advocating for MVPExperience implementing modern Continuous Delivery processes for releasing software to productionExperience applying industry best practices across infrastructure and application components (security, elasticity, performance)Proficiency using AWS public cloud platforms to solve business problemsExperience applying configuration management, infrastructure provisioning, and container orchestration toolingExperience using modern version control systems including gitAbility to debug complex problems across multiple servers, services, and toolsActive Security Clearance is requiredThird level or equivalent qualification in a related discipline is desirableMid-level certification with a public cloud provider (AWS/Azure) is preferredExperience managing, mentoring, and coaching junior staff is highly valued Responsibilities: Lead the design of significant components of a modern digital service platform, including automation, build, deployment, and supportWork alongside colleagues in engineering, testing, consulting, product management, and security to build and deploy high-quality softwareEnsure the latest technologies are employed appropriately to extract maximum user and business benefit while aligning with industry standardsSupport colleagues and facilitate an inclusive DevOps culture within the teamDrive conversations and decisions to ensure services are scalable, secure, reliable, and performantManage services through Live Operation, ensuring availability and performance once users start interacting with the systemProactively coach and mentor more junior members of the team as a role model for our valuesContinuously learn about new technologies and approaches to improve services and develop specialisms Technologies: AWSAzureBashCloudDevOpsGitGroovySupportPowerShellPythonRubySecurityPaaS More:
