Job Summary
The Global Project Management Supervisor, is a critical leadership role within the Infrastructure Solutions Business Unit. The position will direct and drive the success of Infrastructure Solutions global and regional projects and be a strong leader of projects and processes.
The Supervisor will collaborate with the greater Vertiv NPDI proces to drive consistency in reporting and be the lead representative for Infrastructure Solutions within the Vertiv NPD proces group. This Supervisor will assist with leading and development of project managers, manage the day-to-day activities in the PMO, provide guidance on PMO policies and processes, and collaborate with Infrastructure Solutions leaders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
This critical leadership role requires high energy and creative thinking. Helping to matiain a culture where people can be their best and assisting others to be successful as a team is a must and critical to success in the role.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with Infrastructure Solutions Leadership to ensure that business goals and priorities are achieved • Proactively engage with business leadership to identify opportunities for business improvements • Assist with leading personnel and resources required to successfully complete projects • Successfully lead the Vertiv NPDI Phase-Gate process with Infrastructure Solutions to ensure delivery of market/customer relevant projects that deliver growth and customer satisfaction • Assist in developing our agile methodology, processes, and procedures • Develop and own Infrastructure Solutions comprehensive portfolio dashboard so the right insights and data are available to help inform and empower ITS leaders to make quick decisions • Collate qualitative and quantitative information on project performance for the preparation and production of project reports for internal management purposes • Handle the administration for project submissions and approvals through the agreed prioritization and approval process, maintaining a pipeline of approved projects • Provide advice and support to project partners on how project evidence and information must be presented and reported • Ensure that information recorded in both electronic and hard copy meets with internal and external audit standards • Meet cost, time and quality objectives when delivering projects • Manage Global Infrastructure Solutions priority and project register • Drive and provide guidance on PMO processes, tools, and governance across the Infrastructure Solutions Business Unit • Produce of consistent project artifacts such as project plans, risk register, status reporting and financial reporting
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Engineering or related technical degree; electrical engineering degree or related experience preferred • At least 6 years in technical product development, engineering management, project management, or directly related experience. • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile (PMI-ACP, DASM, DAC) Certification, or equivalent preferred • Approximately 15-20% domestic / international travel is required • Participation in global calls outside of normal working hours • Strong leadership skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to details with excellent organizational and technical skills
