Powder Coater
Location: Corry, PA Department: Manufacturing / Finishing Shift: 1st or 3rd Shift Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
We are looking for a Powder Coater to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and powder coating sheet metal components and finished products while ensuring they meet quality and customer specifications.
This is a hands-on position that plays an important part in the final appearance, durability, and quality of our products. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare sheet metal parts and components for powder coating. • Clean, inspect, and properly prepare surfaces prior to coating. • Operate and monitor powder coating equipment and related systems. • Apply powder coating evenly and according to established specifications. • Inspect finished parts for proper coverage, color, thickness, and overall quality. • Load and unload parts from the coating line, racks, and/or conveyor system. • Identify defects, inconsistencies, or coating issues and make necessary adjustments. • Maintain proper powder coating application settings and equipment. • Follow established safety procedures and proper PPE requirements. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Complete quality checks and production documentation as required. • Work closely with other manufacturing team members to meet production schedules. • Follow work instructions, quality standards, and company procedures. • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Previous powder coating required. • Experience in a sheet metal or metal fabrication environment is a plus. • Ability to work with hand tools and manufacturing equipment. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Ability to read and follow work instructions. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks. • Ability to lift, move, and position materials as required. • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. • Willingness to learn new processes and equipment.
