Inova Children’s Cardiology and the Inova Children’s Heart Center are seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiologist to join our expanding team. This opportunity offers the chance to practice within a nationally recognized pediatric heart program while serving a growing patient population across Northern Virginia. The position will support the ambulatory pediatric cardiology clinics and provide outpatient pediatric cardiology care throughout the Southeast Region of Northern Virginia. The selected Pediatric Cardiologist will have a 100% ambulatory clinic practice serving patients across the East/Southeast Region of Northern Virginia, including Woodbridge, Manassas, Stafford, and Alexandria. The position will also offer opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and the education of medical students and pediatric residents. The successful candidate will join an exceptional team of board-certified pediatric cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons who are deeply committed to collaboration, teamwork, and delivering outstanding care to patients and their families. The Inova Children’s Heart Center includes 24 pediatric cardiologists across multiple subspecialties, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced cardiac imaging, fetal cardiology, adult congenital heart disease, general cardiology, dedicated cardiac intensivists, and congenital cardiovascular surgeons.
Inova LJ Murphy Children’s Hospital is a 226-bed children’s hospital at Inova Fairfax Hospital medical campus, located in Northern Virginia. As the only dedicated children’s hospital in Northern Virginia, we provide care in a welcoming environment that offers the latest technical innovation in kid-friendly spaces. Pediatric Cardiologist Job Responsibilities:
• Inova Children’s Heart Center is a comprehensive team, including congenital cardiac surgery, outpatient cardiology, fetal cardiology, non-invasive cardiology, adult congenital cardiology, fetal cardiology, diagnostic and interventional catheterization, and electrophysiology.
• Responsibilities include outpatient general pediatric cardiology.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution. Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Experience: successful completion of Pediatric residency program.
• Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start, ACLS, PALS (when appropriate)
• Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
