About this role

Job Title: Concrete LaborerJob DescriptionThe Concrete Laborer operates a variety of concrete cutting and drilling equipment on active construction sites to support slab sawing, wall sawing, core drilling, and selective demolition work. This role reads and interprets project requirements to complete work accurately, maintains tools and equipment through routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance, and helps keep jobsites clean, organized, and safe. The position requires effective communication with supervisors, project managers, and team members to ensure projects progress smoothly and safely. Responsibilities • Operate concrete cutting and drilling equipment safely and efficiently on active construction sites. • Perform slab sawing, wall sawing, core drilling, and selective demolition work according to project specifications. • Read and interpret project requirements and basic blueprints to ensure accurate and precise work. • Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance on machines and tools. • Use general labor skills to support construction activities, including handling concrete materials and assisting with machine operation. • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting tools, equipment, and materials to and from jobsites. • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free jobsites throughout the project lifecycle. • Follow all company and site-specific safety policies and procedures at all times. • Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and team members regarding project status, issues, and progress. • Measure materials accurately using a tape measure and ensure work meets required dimensions and tolerances. Essential Skills • At least 6 months of experience using power tools and hand tools in a construction or general labor environment. • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for cutting and layout tasks. • Experience working with concrete, including basic handling and placement. • Familiarity with construction environments and general labor responsibilities. • Basic machine operation skills related to concrete cutting and drilling equipment. • Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints or project requirements. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. • Reliable attendance and punctuality. • Strong safety mindset and commitment to following safety protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Comfort working with a variety of hand tools and power tools in fast-paced construction settings. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team on active jobsites. • Good communication skills for coordinating work with supervisors and project teams. • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate cutting, drilling, and demolition work. • Willingness to learn and adapt to different concrete cutting and drilling techniques. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belgrade, MT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
