Job Title: Carpenter LaborerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on leading and performing commercial millwork and carpentry installations on active construction sites. You oversee the installation of KD metal frames, hollow metal doors, cabinetry, countertops, and related finishes while guiding crews, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring that all work meets strict quality and safety standards.Responsibilities

• Lead installation crews on active commercial construction job sites, providing direction, support, and clear communication. • Perform hands-on installation of KD metal frames, hollow metal doors, cabinetry, countertops, drywall, framing, millwork, and finish carpentry. • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute millwork and carpentry installations accurately. • Ensure all work meets established quality standards, including proper fit, finish, and alignment of doors, frames, cabinetry, and countertops. • Apply and enforce safety practices on site, consistently following OSHA guidelines and promoting a safety-oriented culture. • Coordinate daily tasks, materials, and tools to keep projects on schedule and minimize downtime. • Inspect completed work for compliance with project requirements and building codes, addressing any deficiencies promptly. • Collaborate with site personnel and other trades to sequence work efficiently and resolve installation challenges. • Use appropriate hand and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, and assembling materials. • Maintain a clean, organized work area and protect finished surfaces and surrounding spaces during installation. Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of commercial carpentry and millwork experience, including KD metal frames and hollow metal doors. • Approximately 1 year of experience in a lead role overseeing installation crews or similar team leadership responsibilities. • Strong proficiency in commercial construction carpentry, millwork, framing, drywall, and finish work. • Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and construction drawings. • OSHA 10 certification or equivalent safety training, with a safety-oriented mindset on active job sites. • Reliable transportation to travel to various commercial job sites. • Proficient use of hand and power tools commonly used in construction and carpentry. • Solid understanding of construction practices, job site protocols, and quality standards for commercial installations. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience installing KD metal frames and hollow metal doors in commercial environments. • Experience in cabinetry and countertop installation, including layout, fastening, and finishing. • Knowledge of commercial office, retail, healthcare, education, and industrial construction settings. • Ability to coordinate tasks with other trades and adapt to changing site conditions. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. • Effective communication skills for working with crews, site personnel, and project stakeholders. • Capability to work overtime when needed to support project schedules. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available as project needs arise. You regularly work with construction materials, millwork components, doors, frames, cabinetry, and countertops, using a variety of hand and power tools. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, requiring adherence to OSHA standards and site-specific safety protocols while collaborating with multiple trades on busy, operational sites.Carpenter Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Brewerton, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
