Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production equipment, facility systems, and support equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who can work both independently and collaboratively within a fabrication and manufacturing environment.
• This position pays up to $35/hour on 1st shift. Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility-related equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations. • Perform preventative maintenance activities on production equipment and facility systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair machinery to minimize unexpected failures and improve overall reliability. • Install, maintain, and repair motors, pumps, fans, dust collection systems, compressed air systems, paint application systems, and other production equipment. • Perform basic welding, fabrication, plumbing, and carpentry repairs as needed to support facility and equipment upkeep. • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other material handling equipment safely to support maintenance and production activities. • Assist with new equipment installations and modifications to existing equipment and systems. • Support facility improvements, including building maintenance and upgrades, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. • Perform grounds upkeep tasks such as landscaping and weed control to maintain a clean and orderly facility exterior. • Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing equipment performance, safety, and productivity. • Collaborate with production and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond promptly to equipment issues. Essential Skills
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills for production equipment and facility systems. • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components. • Hands-on experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. • Proficiency in performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing and fabrication equipment. • Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of machinery and support equipment. • Skill in installing, maintaining, and repairing motors, pumps, fans, dust collection systems, compressed air systems, and paint application systems. • Competence in maintaining accurate records, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation in a CMMS. • Ability to safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other material handling equipment. • Comfort working in a fabrication manufacturing environment with varied equipment and systems. Work is performed on first shift, with options that include a Monday through Friday schedule as well as a first-shift weekend schedule. The environment involves regular interaction with production equipment, facility systems, and material handling equipment, requiring adherence to safety procedures and appropriate work attire suitable for an active industrial setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Bardstown, KY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
