Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Warehouse AssociateJob DescriptionThis role focuses on shipping, receiving, and material handling within a busy warehouse and distribution environment. You will receive and store incoming inventory, prepare and verify outgoing shipments, support production and assembly lines with accurate material flow, and help maintain precise inventory records. The position requires careful attention to detail, safe operation of warehouse equipment, and strong teamwork to meet daily production and shipping goals.Responsibilities
• Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory items in accordance with established company protocols and procedures. • Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to verify product accuracy, quantity, and overall integrity. • Operate shipping equipment and systems to safely transport, stage, and verify materials throughout the warehouse. • Locate, pick, and gather products for distribution to production workers, assembly lines, or shipping areas. • Support inventory management activities, including tracking, recording, and updating inventory data in company systems. • Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory control to ensure stock levels remain accurate and up to date. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, consistently following all warehouse safety standards and regulations. • Handle materials, pallets, and product loads safely and efficiently, using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when required. • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and meet production and shipping deadlines. • Follow all documented procedures for shipping and receiving to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Essential Skills
• Minimum of 1 year of shipping and receiving experience, with 2 or more years strongly preferred. • Hands-on experience with inventory control and cycle counting in a warehouse or distribution environment. • Material handling experience, including moving, staging, and organizing product and materials. • Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management processes. • Knowledge of shipping equipment and shipping systems used to process and verify orders. • Understanding of safety standards and protocols in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. • Strong attention to detail when verifying shipments, recording inventory, and following procedures. • Ability to perform order pulling and support production activities as needed. • High school diploma or GED. • Experience operating forklifts or similar material handling equipment. • Background in production or manufacturing support within a warehouse setting. • Ability to work effectively across different shifts as business needs require. • Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members and other departments. • Reliability and flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, including potential mandatory overtime Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse distribution setting within a large warehouse building. Work takes place at either the Orangeburg site or the West Nyack site, which are located close to each other. The shift available is 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday through Friday, or 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Sunday through Thursday. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nyack, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
