About this role

Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on operating and supporting corrugating production equipment to manufacture cardboard boxes according to customer specifications. You load materials, monitor the production process, perform visual inspections, and bundle finished products while maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality work environment. Responsibilities • Load spools of cardboard paper into the corrugating machine according to production requirements. • Monitor the corrugating machine as it glues, cuts, and bends cardboard to meet customer specifications. • Visually inspect boxes during and after production to ensure quality standards and correct dimensions. • Bundle finished corrugated products so material handlers can stage and move them efficiently. • Push bundles of corrugated sheets using both manual effort and powered equipment as needed. • Participate in team lifting of cardboard spools and banded bundles of corrugated sheets to safely move materials. • Handle materials carefully to avoid product damage and waste throughout the production process. • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work area. • Support general production and machine operation tasks as assigned to keep the line running smoothly. • Work required overtime, including some weekend hours, to meet production demands. Essential Skills • Industrial experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar environment. • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds safely and repeatedly throughout the shift. • Ability to work required overtime and extended hours, including some weekend work. • General production and general labor experience. • Basic machine operation skills in a manufacturing or industrial setting. • Ability to use a tape measure to verify product dimensions and ensure accuracy. • Capability to load and lift materials such as cardboard spools and bundled corrugated sheets. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience as a machine operator in an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Comfort working with corrugating or similar production machinery. • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting. Work EnvironmentThis is a third-shift position with typical hours from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. You can expect to work approximately 50–60 hours per week, including some weekend overtime when production demands are high. The role is based in an industrial manufacturing environment with corrugating machinery, bundled cardboard products, and material handling equipment. Work is physically demanding, involving frequent lifting up to 75 pounds, team lifting of heavy spools and bundles, and pushing materials by hand and with machines. You will work on your feet for most of the shift in a production floor setting that prioritizes safety, proper material handling, and adherence to established procedures. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Carlisle, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
