Job Title: UnloaderJob DescriptionWe are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team primarily in the Manual Shipping and Semi-Automated Unloading departments. Candidates will be assigned a dock where they will be responsible for loading and unloading 18-wheelers, palletizing labeled materials, and ensuring these materials are entered into the conveyance system. Flexibility is essential as duties may include labeling or moving items into the shipping area. Responsibilities • Manage freight flow by manually moving and unloading freight, as associates will not operate mobile equipment. • Identify, separate, count, combine, and scan freight using Warehouse Management System terminals, scales, and scanners. • Handle and process freight safely, report unsafe work conditions and damaged products to management, and maintain a clean work area. • Load trucks with specific methods, ensuring heavy products are on the bottom and lighter products on the top. • Enter and locate information using computer systems or communication devices and write documents or reports as needed. Work EnvironmentThis distribution center is currently not climate controlled, but will be after the year-long upgrades. Dress code requires shorts no more than 6 inches above the knee and tennis shoes covering heels and toes. Pants and shorts must be worn at waist level, and shirts should not display large logos, offensive pictures, or controversial language. Contract associates may be required to wear vests at all times. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sutherland, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.60 - $23.60/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
