Job Title: General LaborerJob DescriptionJoin our team as a General Laborer where you will play a vital role in the production of concrete products. You will be responsible for preparing forms, installing reinforcing materials, pouring concrete, and ensuring quality standards are met. This position offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks daily, contributing to the overall shop operations in a dynamic and hands-on environment. Responsibilities • Prepare concrete forms and molds for production. • Install reinforcing materials such as rebar and wire. • Pour precast concrete into forms. • Finish, strip, and move completed concrete products. • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. • Ensure production deadlines and quality standards are met. • Support general shop operations as needed. Essential Skills • 1+ year of job tenure. • 1+ year of manufacturing experience. • 1+ year of experience with hand and power tools. • Experience in precast, concrete, and construction. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous precast experience. • Experience reading blueprints. Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a team environment with 30 employees, under the guidance of 1 Supervisor and 5 leads. The work area resembles a construction site within a warehouse, equipped with machines and overhead cranes, and has open garage doors for ventilation. Expect a physically demanding environment with temperatures ranging from 70 to 100 degrees. Work hours start at 6 AM from Monday to Friday, occasionally extending into Saturdays with shifts lasting 8-12 hours until tasks are completed. Casual work attire is required, with pants worn at all times. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
