Job Title: CNC MachinistJob DescriptionThis role involves setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. You will interpret blueprints, prepare tooling and fixtures, and monitor machines throughout production to ensure consistent and accurate output. Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements. • Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workpieces to prepare machines for production runs. • Monitor machine performance during operation and identify issues that could affect production or quality. • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to verify part dimensions. • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards. • Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and tooling to maintain accuracy and productivity. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow established safety procedures. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges. • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes. • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues affecting machine performance or product quality. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience working as a CNC machinist or in a similar machining role. • Familiarity with various tooling, fixtures, and workholding methods. • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures. • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to continuously improve processes. You will work around CNC mills and lathes, precision measuring tools, and standard shop equipment in a clean and organized production environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bradenton, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
