Job Title: Night Shift Structural WelderJob DescriptionJoin a second-shift structural welding team working Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. in a dedicated structural welding shop. You will perform code-quality welds using MIG and flux core processes, interpret blueprints, and contribute to steady, well-planned production work in a fabrication environment.Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding using MIG and flux core processes in vertical (3G), overhead, and horizontal positions on carbon steel plate. • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan weld layouts, fabrication steps, and procedures. • Use tape measures, calipers, rulers, and other measuring tools to take accurate measurements and mark layouts. • Determine appropriate welding equipment, settings, and methods based on job requirements and specifications. • Set ampage and voltage correctly on welding machines to achieve proper penetration and weld quality. • Set up components for welding, including cutting material with powered saws to match required measurements. • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts, clean weld areas, and grind welds to meet quality standards. • Align, clamp, and fit components to ensure proper joint preparation and structural integrity prior to welding. • Execute weld tests such as 3G MIG on 1/4-inch carbon plate and 4F MIG on 1/4-inch plate to demonstrate proficiency, including clean starts and stops. • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify and correct flaws or defects. • Maintain welding and fabrication equipment in safe working condition and follow established safety procedures. • Work collaboratively in a production environment to meet output goals while maintaining quality standards. • Support structural fitting and fabrication tasks as needed to keep projects on schedule. Essential Skills

• Proficient MIG welding skills with the ability to pass a 3G MIG test on 1/4-inch carbon plate and a 4F MIG test on 1/4-inch plate, with clean starts and stops. • Ability to weld confidently in vertical, overhead, and horizontal positions in a structural welding environment. • At least 8 months of welding experience in a structural welding shop. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication prints. • Strong tape measure and layout skills with accurate measurement reading and marking. • Knowledge of setting ampage and voltage on welding machines for different materials and positions. • Experience using angle grinders for weld preparation and finishing. • Ability to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment safely and effectively. • Capability to align, clamp, and fit components using calipers, rulers, and similar tools. • Understanding of basic weld inspection practices to identify flaws and ensure structural integrity. • Commitment to maintaining equipment in a condition that supports safe operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Structural fitting experience in an industrial or fabrication setting is preferred. • Experience in industrial production welding or fabrication environments. • Experience in flux core welding for structural applications. • Familiarity with working in a structural welding shop focused on code work and clean prints. • Comfort working in a high-production, fabrication-focused environment on a multi-building campus. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
