Job Title: Sanitation WorkerJob DescriptionThis role works in a production environment and focuses on ensuring that all machinery and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized to meet strict food manufacturing standards. You will mix and handle sanitation chemicals, break down machines, run parts through the sanitation process, and complete all required documentation. You actively support the team and assist wherever needed to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient operation.Responsibilities
• Sanitize production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and food manufacturing standards. • Break down machines into individual parts and put all components through the full sanitation process, including washing, rinsing, and sanitizing. • Mix and handle sanitation chemicals safely and accurately, following all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Follow SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times to ensure food safety and product quality. • Complete all required sanitation and production documentation with strong attention to detail. • Maintain a clean and organized production area, promptly addressing any sanitation needs that arise. • Support the team by helping in other areas of production or sanitation as needed. • Balance and prioritize workload to meet sanitation schedules and production timelines. • Work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and cooperating with coworkers. • Adhere to all safety protocols, including safe lifting practices and proper handling of hot water and chemicals. Essential Skills
• Experience working in a food or beverage manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience with cleaning and sanitation in an industrial or production setting. • Ability to stand and be on your feet for 8–10 hours per shift. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly. • Ability to follow SOPs and GMPs consistently. • Experience breaking down machinery and putting parts through a complete sanitation process. • Comfort and competence with chemical handling for sanitation purposes. • Strong attention to detail, especially in completing documentation accurately. • Ability to balance and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment. • Proven reliability and dependability with a strong record of consistent attendance. • Experience working effectively in a team environment. • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including different hours and weekends if needed. • Fluency in written and verbal English. • Background in food production, food manufacturing, or industrial cleaning. • Residence in the San Francisco Bay Area or willingness to relocate at personal expense. • Strong documentation skills and ability to follow detailed procedures. • Comfort working in hot environments due to use of hot water in sanitation processes. You spend most of the shift on your feet, moving around the production area and handling machinery parts and sanitation equipment. The work involves regular lifting of items up to 50 pounds and frequent interaction with sanitation chemicals, following strict safety protocols. You work on a flexible schedule that may include varying hours and weekend shifts, collaborating closely with a production team in an industrial setting that prioritizes cleanliness, safety, and adherence to SOPs and GMPs. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
