Material Handler Sorrento Valley - $22/hr - First ShiftJob DescriptionThe Material Handler is responsible for all shipping, receiving, and stockroom activities, including both manual and clerical tasks. This role ensures accurate processing of materials and equipment, supports the smooth flow of inventory through the facility, and works closely with internal teams to track and deliver products to end customers.Responsibilities

• Perform all shipping duties, including proper packaging of materials and equipment to meet domestic and international requirements. • Prepare and process shipping documents, including pro forma invoices for shipments outside of the United States. • Operate UPS shipping equipment and systems to process outgoing shipments. • Coordinate with freight services and shippers to schedule and confirm pick-ups. • Work closely with sales departments to track shipments and ensure timely delivery to end customers. • Receive all deliveries and accurately post data into the MRP system in accordance with company procedures. • Verify shipment contents by counting and inspecting parts to ensure the correct manufacturer part number and description per purchase order. • Generate Material Discrepancy Reports for all non-conforming parts or materials and communicate issues as needed. • Perform stockroom duties, including manual and clerical tasks related to kitting subassemblies and finished goods. • Monitor the stockroom door and control access to inventory areas. • Conduct daily cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory records. • Perform inventory put-up activities, including organizing and storing materials in designated locations. • Pull kits for production, ensuring all required components are available and correctly assembled. • Troubleshoot inventory and material flow issues and collaborate with various departments to maintain smooth product movement throughout the facility. • Complete data entry tasks related to inventory, shipping, and receiving activities in the computerized inventory control system. Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a material handler or shipping clerk in an electronics manufacturing environment. • Experience working with a computerized inventory control system. • Hands-on experience with inventory handling, shipping, and receiving processes. • Proficiency in stockroom operations, including kitting and inventory organization. • Ability to perform accurate packing, loading, and material handling tasks. • Experience conducting cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy. • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail. • Experience working directly with freight services such as trucking, air, and consolidators. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred experience understanding requirements for foreign and domestic shipments, including paperwork and packaging standards. • Familiarity with MRP systems for posting and tracking inventory data. • Ability to operate UPS shipping equipment and related software. • Experience generating discrepancy reports or similar documentation for non-conforming materials. • Comfort working in an electronics manufacturing environment with structured procedures and controls. The role involves working with MRP and computerized inventory systems, UPS shipping equipment, and coordinating with freight services. The environment is structured and process-driven, focused on accurate inventory control and efficient material flow. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
