Tester Operator Sorrento Valley - 1st Shift - $21/hrJob DescriptionThe Tester Operator performs pass/fail testing on manufactured printed circuit boards, ensuring that each board meets established quality and performance standards. This role involves connecting boards with multiple cables, initiating tests through a computer-based system, documenting results, and maintaining an organized and compliant workstation within an ESD-controlled, lean manufacturing environment.Responsibilities

• Perform pass/fail testing on printed circuit boards by correctly connecting multiple cables and initiating the test sequence through the computer system. • Accurately identify, document, and report error codes and test results for boards that fail, ensuring all information is entered into the appropriate systems. • Sort and organize tested boards into designated pass and fail areas to maintain clear product flow and traceability. • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation in line with 5S and lean manufacturing principles. • Care for and properly use test equipment, computers, cables, and hand tools, ensuring they remain in good working condition. • Follow established quality control and inspection procedures to ensure all boards meet required standards. • Perform data entry related to test results and quality records in multiple computer programs and the MES system. • Adhere strictly to ESD environment controls and guidelines to protect sensitive electronic components. • Assimilate into the manufacturing team’s goals and culture, collaborating effectively with long-tenured team members. • Comply with all facility policies, including the strict no-phone policy on the manufacturing floor. Essential Skills

• Experience with quality control and inspection of parts and assemblies. • Knowledge of testing processes and procedures for electronic products. • Ability to work confidently with computers and perform accurate data entry. • Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or electronics environment. • Familiarity with printed circuit boards and their handling requirements. • Experience working in multiple computer programs and an MES (Manufacturing Execution System). • Previous experience in electronics or PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) manufacturing is strongly preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of ESD (electrostatic discharge) controls and requirements in an electronics manufacturing environment. • Comfort working within 5S and lean manufacturing practices. • Ability to integrate into an established manufacturing team and align with shared goals and culture. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following standardized work procedures. You will work in an ESD-controlled environment focused on 5S and lean manufacturing, alongside a long-tenured production team with established goals and culture. The workstation includes a computer, cables, and other tools used for testing and data entry. There is a strict no-phone policy on the manufacturing floor, and adherence to all safety, cleanliness, and operational guidelines is required. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
