Job Title: General LaborerJob DescriptionThis temporary, entry-level General Laborer role supports construction-related projects by performing a variety of physical tasks, including cutting and drilling into concrete using hand and power tools. The position offers on-the-job training for concrete cutting and involves working primarily at job sites, with occasional work in a shop setting. The role is full-time at 30–40 hours per week and will conclude when additional labor is no longer needed.Responsibilities
• Perform general labor tasks on construction-related projects, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials as directed. • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support daily work activities. • Cut and drill into concrete according to project specifications and safety guidelines, with training provided as needed. • Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads to complete tasks accurately and on schedule. • Maintain a clean and organized work area at job sites and in the shop. • Use employer-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools correctly and consistently while on the job. • Drive personal vehicle to various job sites as required, ensuring a clean driving record is maintained. • Arrive on time and work scheduled shifts reliably, including earlier start times when job demands require it. • Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Essential Skills
• Experience using power tools in a work setting. • Experience using basic hand tools. • Construction experience , preferably within the construction industry. • Ability to perform physically demanding labor, including lifting, bending, and working on your feet for extended periods. • Clean driving record and ability to drive a personal vehicle to job sites when needed. • Reliability and strong attendance, with the ability to work 30–40 hours per week. • Ability to follow safety instructions and work effectively as part of a team. • Concrete or concrete cutting experience is a plus but not required, as training is provided. • Willingness to learn new tasks and techniques on the job. • Comfort working with construction materials and equipment in a variety of outdoor and indoor environments. The employer provides all necessary personal protective equipment and tools, except for work boots, which you supply yourself. The work is physically demanding and performed in a variety of conditions depending on the job site, requiring comfort with outdoor and indoor environments and adherence to safety procedures at all times. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Kennewick, WA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
