Job Title: DIRECT HIRE Quality Inspector$22hr + Job DescriptionThe Quality Inspector performs inspections, audits, and testing activities to ensure that all products meet established quality standards and customer specifications in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on monitoring production lines, verifying measurements, and documenting inspection results to maintain consistent product quality and support continuous improvement.Responsibilities
• Complete written line audits at set intervals throughout each shift and accurately document findings. • Audit all product being packed, including taping boxes when full and signing labels in the corner as the operator completes them, when required. • Conduct daily material audits to verify that materials meet specified quality requirements. • Verify the accurate completion of operator inspection sheets and ensure documentation is properly maintained. • Visually inspect product from each press on a daily basis to identify defects or nonconformances. • Verify proper functionality and calibration status of all working scales used in the production process. • Measure part dimensions as identified by quality requirements using appropriate measuring equipment. • Perform incoming inspections on materials and components and outgoing inspections on finished products. • Use calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and other measuring equipment to measure parts and interpret drawings and prints. • Accept or reject product in accordance with established quality standards and clearly communicate decisions to production personnel. • Work from blueprints and customer specifications to confirm that parts meet dimensional and quality requirements. • Maintain accurate inspection records and support quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the facility. Essential Skills
• At least 3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. • Proven experience performing inspections, audits, and testing in a production setting. • Ability to work directly from blueprints and customer specifications to verify product conformity. • Hands-on experience using micrometers and calipers for precise dimensional measurement. • Strong visual inspection skills to identify defects and nonconforming product. • Ability to interpret and work with drawings and prints when measuring parts. • Experience accepting and rejecting product based on established quality standards. • Familiarity with quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection practices. • Capability to verify the functionality of scales and other measurement devices. • Comfortable working with coordinate measuring machine (CMM) or similar advanced inspection tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in a Quality Technician or Quality Inspector role within manufacturing. • Ability to use height gauges and other precision measuring equipment. • Knowledge of basic quality documentation, including inspection sheets and audit reports. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records. • Ability to collaborate effectively with production operators and other team members. • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues. The work involves regular use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, scales, and potentially CMM equipment, as well as working with blueprints and customer specifications in a production setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of North Royalton, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $45760.00/yr.
