Job Title: Sheet Metal HelperJob DescriptionThe sheet metal helper will assist mechanics in installing ductwork, specifically working with galvanized and double-wall sheet metal. The role involves using hand and power tools to cut and measure sheet metal duct and hang VAV boxes. This is a long-term opportunity with the project running until the end of the year, and two additional projects lined up thereafter. Responsibilities • Assist in the installation of sheet metal ductwork. • Work with galvanized and double-wall sheet metal. • Use hand and power tools to cut and measure sheet metal. • Hang VAV boxes and install hangers. • Collaborate with other mechanics and trade partners on-site. Essential Skills • Basic experience in sheet metal installation. • Familiarity with HVAC systems and ductwork. • Ability to read blueprints. • Must possess basic hand tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications • OSHA 10 certification. • Experience with mechanical installations. The role requires personal protective equipment including a hardhat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, and a high-visibility t-shirt or vest. You will work alongside other mechanics and trade partners. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Panama City Beach, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
