Job Title: PackerJob DescriptionThe Packer serves as a visual quality inspector responsible for examining incoming and outgoing plastic bottles, identifying defects, and ensuring products meet strict quality standards before shipment. This role involves high-volume visual inspection, accurate repacking of bottles, and close monitoring of the treatment process to ensure bottles are properly processed and ready to return to customers. Responsibilities
• Perform detailed visual inspections of incoming plastic bottles to identify dents, warping, contamination, imperfections, or other defects. • Inspect outbound plastic bottles after treatment to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications before shipment. • Pack inspected bottles into large metal baskets in preparation for processing in reactors where they are cooked or treated. • Monitor bottles at the end of the treatment process to check for malfunctions or issues before they are returned to customers. • Repack bottles identically to how they were received, ensuring consistency in packaging and presentation. • Follow written procedures and standard operating instructions to maintain quality, safety, and production standards. • Work efficiently on the production and packaging line to meet daily output and quality goals. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations. • Collaborate with team members and communicate any quality or process concerns to the appropriate personnel. Essential Skills
• Strong visual inspection skills with a high level of attention to detail. • Ability to work on a production and packaging line in a fast-paced environment. • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as needed. • Ability to follow written procedures and instructions accurately. • Commitment to quality, safety, and consistency in all tasks. • Reliability and willingness to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Previous experience in production, packaging, or quality inspection is beneficial. • Comfort working around industrial equipment and production lines. • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues as needed. • Good communication skills to report issues or concerns promptly. You will work in a hands-on manufacturing setting with production and packaging lines, metal baskets, and reactors used to treat plastic bottles. The team enjoys a strong, supportive culture with frequent potlucks, celebrations, and appreciation events. Break times can be spent in a large breakroom equipped with a vending machine and two refrigerators for storing lunches. Attire should be appropriate for a production environment and suitable for working around industrial equipment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
