Job Title: Sheet Metal MechanicJob DescriptionAs a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing duct systems, specifically working with galvanized and double-wall sheet metal. You will cut and measure sheet metal ducts, hang VAV boxes, and utilize hand and power tools. This position is located at an Air Force Base and offers a long-term opportunity with projects extending until the end of the year and beyond. Responsibilities • Install sheet metal ducts and hangers. • Work with HVAC systems and components. • Cut and measure sheet metal for duct installation. • Hang VAV boxes. • Utilize hand and power tools efficiently. Essential Skills • Experience in sheet metal and duct installation. • Proficiency in HVAC system installation. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Mechanical skills related to sheet metal work. • OSHA 10 certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Possession of basic hand tools. • Experience working with mechanical systems and components. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Panama City Beach, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
