Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cargo Learning and Development, the Cargo Training Developer is responsible for the development of eLearning modules and training videos as well as updates and maintenance to existing courseware for Cargo employees. Responsibilities

• Lead the development of eLearning and video-based training modules for the Cargo branch. • Develop effective project workplans, monitor progress and provide regular updates to the Senior Manager, Learning and Development Cargo with respect to milestones and deadlines. • Identify, document, and report on performance and learning deficiencies through leading and participating in needs assessment/analysis. • Responsible for collaborating with Cargo Training Designer on the design of instructional and support materials. • Ensure training programs are designed in accordance with business needs and regulatory bodies and are aligned with the overall training strategies and objectives of the Cargo branch. • Ensure programs are designed according to training standards, instructional design processes and methodologies that support adult learning principles. • Plan, organize and conduct Train-The-Trainer workshops to qualify instructors on the content of the programs as needed. • Participate in meetings, workshops as required to improve training materials. • Assist with the deployment and evaluation of eLearning and video-based training modules for the Cargo branch. • Maintain the eLearning modules on ACU (learning management system) and update modules as required for compliance with new regulatory policies and standard operating procedures. • Provide and support operational management and to the Training Department Team Members, as required. Qualifications Educational Requirements

• Recognized university degree, preferably in Education, Adult Education, Instructional Technology, or Graphic Communications an asset. • Instructional Techniques certification, an asset. • Instructional Course Design certification, an asset. Experience

• Minimum 1 year in training development, required and must be recent. • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Cargo is preferred. • Must have familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (i.e., Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise 360, Vyond). • Familiarity with technical projects and Cargo automation tools (i.e., WebLynx, SmartLOAD, an asset). • Familiarity with SumTotal’s learning management system an asset. • Excellent comprehension and familiarity with job related publications (i.e., Publication 178, an asset). • Strong PC skills i.e., MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe (or similar) video editing software. Job Requirements

• Sound communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong knowledge of adult learning design principles/practices. • Able to establish effective working relationships with internal clients as well as third party vendors. • Able to multi-task, work under pressure, assess priorities to manage and meet strict deadlines. • Take a consultative approach to the creative process and make contributions for continued improvement. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others/strong team player. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be proactive and manage day to day work with changing priorities. • High regards for safety. • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills with various levels of employees, management and third parties. • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and manage diverse work assignments. • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
