Financial Analyst I

Position Description: Performs central accounting and financial analysis functions according to established procedures.

Major/Essential Functions: • Primary Depositor Backup: review, code and process Daily Deposit and upload in Xtender. • Facilitate New Fund Setups: obtain required dept information and submit request. • Create and process JVs: transfer funds, maintain data integrity. • Serving backup to interoffice tasks: including but not limited to submitting collecting daily bank activity and remote deposits, submitting supply orders, processing and sending out W-9 and invoices, reporting meter readings, sorting mail, sending insurance reminders and uploading daily revenue file. • Live and promote the shared values of the Texas Tech University System: People First, Integrity, Community, Exemplary Service, Resilience.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience OR combination of education and experience to equal 5 years.

Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite 2016. Ability to coordinate with all levels of staff including other departments on all aspects of electronic document imaging and content management. Ability to make decisions; be self-reliant and able to perform all tasks with a high degree of proficiency, accuracy and timeliness. Detail oriented with a high level of organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to meet standards in dress and work performance of an office professional. Ability to work with confidential information.
