Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Junior Facility Engineer to support mission-critical High-Performance Computing (HPC) operations at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Working under the guidance of the SME Facility Engineer, this position will focus primarily on facility monitoring, maintenance, inspections, and repair coordination. This is a full-time, 100% on-site position. Responsibilities include: Monitor electrical, mechanical, cooling, backup power, and facility monitoring systems. Conduct routine inspections, document findings, and report abnormal conditions. Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with Civil Engineering, contractors, and vendors. Develop and maintain an understanding of critical facility system dependencies, redundancy, capacity, and equipment operating configurations. Initiate and track facility work requests through completion. Support equipment troubleshooting, outage response, and corrective actions. Maintain equipment records, drawings, procedures, and maintenance documentation. Provide support for equipment installations and infrastructure upgrades. Participate in an on-call rotation and respond after hours or on weekends to facility emergencies, outages, and critical equipment issues.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Required Education, Experience, & Skills High school diploma and at least four years of relevant work experience; equivalent experience may substitute for education. Experience in facility operations, maintenance, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, construction, utilities, or a similar technical environment. Basic troubleshooting, communication, computer, and documentation skills. Ability to work full-time on-site at Wright-Patterson AFB. Willing and able to provide after-hours and weekend on-call support as required. Must have at least an Interim Secret Clearance to Start
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Technical Bachelor’s Degree, certification, apprenticeship, or military training in a related field. Experience with generators, UPS systems, HVAC, chillers, pumps, electrical distribution, or building automation systems. Experience in a data center, mission-critical facility, industrial, or DoW environment. Current active security clearance.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $59023 - $100339
