About this role
We are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team, delivering high-quality learning experiences across the school. This role involves supervising whole classes during teacher absence and delivering pre-planned lessons, including PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of working with children—particularly at whole-class level—who is looking to develop their teaching practice in a supportive environment. This would be a great stepping stone into teaching- develop your skills, gain classroom experience and grow with us
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-planned lessons to groups and/or whole classes during staff absence or PPA timeEnsure a positive and purposeful learning environment is maintainedManage classroom behaviour in line with school policiesSupport pupils to engage with learning and complete set workProvide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagementBe flexible and adaptable across different year groups and subjects

Have experience with whole-class deliveryAre confident managing a classroom independentlyHave strong communication and behaviour management skillsAre enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to supporting pupil learningThis role would also suit individuals who:
Are an experienced TA/HLTA who is confident managing a classroom independently.Have completed a teacher training course but do not yet feel ready to take on full class responsibilityAre looking to build confidence and experience before moving into a teaching role
