Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated compassionate and caring individual that is looking to join our dynamic and successful Sexual Health Service within Derby city and County clinics.

The main duties of the role include the following, supporting the clinicians within the clinics . Caring for patients with empathy and compassion, including chaperoning, taking blood, Microscopy, supporting the patients with taking samples and swabs.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of a clean and safe clinical area. To actively promote and signpost sexual health services and general health promotion services. As part of this post the expected to work flexibly work across Derby City and County clinics. Understand the patient need and respond accordingly by adapting to a variety of clinical presentations. Working effectively with a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, HCA colleagues, Sexual Health Promotion and senior leaders to ensure safe and effective care.

GCSE Maths and English C or above Educated to NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject or Equivalent IT Literacy skills Venepuncture trained or willingness to undertake training on appointment Able to travel across the City and County south peripherals Experience of working in a NHS clinic / NHS surgery Essential oral and written communication skills

Desirable

Knowledge of Contraception and Sexual health screening Safeguarding procedures Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of healthcare providers.
