To get started, you'll need to complete a comprehensive 6-week training programme, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Main duties of the job
Your Role: Make Every Call Count
Be the First Point of ContactHandle urgent and non-urgent calls, helping patients get the care they need quickly and safely.
Use NHS Pathways with ConfidenceAssess symptoms using NHS Pathways and direct patients to the mostappropriate healthcareprofessional or service.
Provide Reassurance When It Matters MostUseyou'relistening and communication skills to offer clear advice andaccurateguidance.

111 Call Handlers may be providing healthcare while working under the direction or supervision of regulated healthcare professionals. In order to do this, the call handler must receive direct instructions from the regulated healthcare professional about how to treat the patient whilst the healthcare is being provided. If this is in place, the call handler will be in regulated activity with children and adults and so an Enhanced DBS check in the child and adult workforce with both Barred Lists checks can be requested.
Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of their employment without requiring employer sponsorship, including after the expiry of any time-limited visa (such as a Graduate visa).
