About this role
The LOGMET LLC AAFM will provide AMS to customers by supervising flight line operations and airfield maintenance services to ensure safe, effective, and efficient airfield operations. The AAFM will serve as the AFM in his or her absence. In addition, the AAFM serves as the Wing Airfield Driving Program Manager. The Assistant Airfield Manager may not be used to cover the Airfield Management Shift Lead position, The AAFM shall comply with the duties and responsibilities listed in AFMAN 13-204 Volume 2 and DAFI 13-213. The LOGMET LLC as the AAFM, is responsible for the following key tasks:
• Coordinate with Security Forces and CE for Airfield Security and Hijack Prevention
• Maintain a locally developed airfield lighting chart
• Process airfield discrepancies on the AF Form 332 or locally approved form or electronic system. (T-3).
• Maintain current Airfield Discrepancy Log to track and monitor airfield discrepancies and hazards
• Coordinate with CE to develop an airfield sweeping schedule/plan to support flying operations and maintain pavement areas on or next to runways, taxiways, ramps, engine run-up pads, runway overruns, airfield access roads
• Serve as a member of the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention Committee
• Maintain vegetation growth on or adjacent to the airfield conduct airfield inspections and checks.
• Complete MICT self-assessment checklists as required.
