Main duties of the job
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic health conditions Prescribe medications and administer treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines Develop personalised care plans tailored to individual patient needs Educate patients on health management, medication use, and preventive care strategies Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and organisational standards Stay updated with the latest medical research, anatomy knowledge, and clinical practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes

We use EMIS Web clinical system with Docman 10 and have a great Administrative support Team with a triage system to manage workload.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) - MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent qualification) - Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification (V300) - Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) - Competence in history taking, clinical assessment, and decision-making
Desirable
- Postgraduate modules in minor illness / minor injury management - Qualification or training in long-term condition management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD) - Experience or certification in primary care / GP surgery - Teaching, mentoring, or leadership qualification
Experience Essential
- Experience of working within a nursing team - Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients
Desirable
- Experience of working in a GP practice
