About this role

Job summary Are you an experienced care professional looking for a new challenge? This role as a Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Cheriton care home in Dorchester offers a rewarding work environment with a welcoming and specialized support team. Main duties of the job As a Senior Care Assistant - Nights, you will ensure that residents receive person-centered care, including bathing, dressing, and oral care within their preferences, while actively promoting their right to choice and independence. You will contribute to and carry out care reviews to ensure residents' plans reflect their needs, administer medication safely and compliantly, and lead and participate in trips, social engagements, and activities within the home. Additionally, you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called upon to lead the home when more senior managers are not available.

A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK Night and day shifts available NVQ 2 and preferably working towards a level 3A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

You will need a minimum of 12 months' right to work in the UK, and preferably an NVQ 2 with experience working towards a level 3.
