For further information visit https://www.bathspa.ac.uk/students/careers/ As a Casual Technical Demonstrator (Location Sound), you will support the delivery of practical teaching and student film productions across Bath Spa University’s TV & Film courses. Working with students of varying experience levels, you will provide hands-on demonstrations and technical guidance in the use of professional location sound equipment, including microphones, field mixers, audio recorders and associated accessories. The role involves assisting students in developing the skills and confidence required to capture high-quality audio for short films, documentaries and other media productions. You will support practical workshops, equipment inductions and production activities, as well as providing technical assistance on location during student filming projects. Through your expertise and guidance, you will help students apply industry-standard sound recording techniques in both controlled and real-world production environments.
