About this role

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated clinician to join the Community Rehabilitation Service. The team is an integrated multi-disciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants.This role will involve assessing patients within an LCC lead short-term bed setting - as part of intermediate care. You will support patient integration back into the community due to deterioration in health or functional ability. This role would suit a clinician that has a keen interest in assessing patients living with Dementia/cognitive difficulties. You would have the opportunity to access supervision and training in relation to rehabilitation with this complex cohort of patients.

Main duties of the job

You will need excellent communication skills and have experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role will involve delivering excellent Occupational Therapy care with an opportunity to take part in activities which encourage continued professional development. The role will involve a holistic approach to emphasising the elements of recuperative and rehabilitative care for individuals with complex needs.

Person Specification

Education/ Qualifications Essential

HCPC Registration Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy Evidence of CPD in relevant areas

Knowledge Essential

Experience and ability to work effectively within an MDT Evidence of clinical topic training / staff presentations Evidence of supervision of assistant staff / students

Experience Essential

Treatment of a broad range of conditions Demonstrable evidence of improving and developing service /practice Evidence of leading and implementing clinical change

Personal skills and abilities Essential

Excellent written and oral presentation skills Skills for assessing, diagnosing and treating a range of conditions Ability to prioritise a workload effectively
