What You'll Do: As a Clinical Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Professional staff both with patient care and administrative tasks. You'll work across various areas such as Ultrasound, CT, the Emergency Department and MRI, providing essential support where it's needed most.

Main duties of the job

Support the delivery of a high-quality imaging service across various modalities. Communicate effectively and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Assist in training new Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers. Help manage and update support worker rotas. Oversee stock maintenance and ordering. Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including cannulation, venepuncture, and Point of Care Testing (POCT). Maintain and update patients' electronic imaging records using Trust and departmental systems.

Person Specification

Education & Qualifications Essential

NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health-related subject/Care Certificate Trained in cannulation, venepuncture and Point of Care Testing (POCT)

Desirable

Demonstrable commitment to personal and professional development

Experience Essential

Previous experience as a care assistant in a NHS or private health care environment

Desirable

Experience of working in an Imaging Department

Key Skills Essential

Ability to work under pressure and be flexible in their approach to work

Desirable

Basic IT and keyboard skills Ability to effectively prioritise and co-ordinate own work and that of others

Knowledge Essential

CRIS & PACS An understanding of confidentiality and accountability and what this means
