Work Arrangement and Anticipated Start Date
• Work arrangement: Five days per week in the office in downtown Toronto • Anticipated start date: October 19, 2026, or November 2, 2026 The anticipated start date is subject to the interview process and business needs.
The Opportunity The Sr. Registered Products Administrator supports the accurate and timely administration of registered plans across multiple business lines.In this position, you will serve as a knowledgeable resource for front-office teams, review transaction requests and supporting documentation, and process complex activities in accordance with organizational procedures, service-level agreements, the Income Tax Act, Canada Revenue Agency requirements, and applicable provincial legislation.The primary focus of the role will be Registered Education Savings Plans, or RESPs, with additional support across other registered products, including:
• Registered Retirement Savings Plans, or RRSPs • Registered Retirement Income Funds, or RRIFs • Tax-Free Savings Accounts, or TFSAs • Locked-In Retirement Accounts, or LIRAs • Life Income Funds, or LIFs • Locked-In Retirement Income Funds, or LRIFs • Restricted Life Income Funds, or RLIFs • Other related locked-in plans What You Will Do Provide registered-plan support
• Act as a primary point of contact for assigned branches. • Respond to phone, email, and written inquiries regarding legislation, governing rules, internal processes, procedures, and required documentation. Administer income plans
• Set up RRIF, LIF, and LRIF payment profiles. • Process payments and confirm the accuracy of applicable tax rates. • Manage special situations and systematic withdrawals above minimum payment amounts. Process locked-in account transactions
• Review government and organizational documentation for unlocking requests. • Validate allowable withdrawal calculations. • Accurately process approved transactions. Handle complex withdrawals and transfers Review and process transactions involving:
• Excess-contribution refunds • Marriage-breakdown transfers • Monetary adjustments • Internal transfers • Home Buyers’ Plan withdrawals • Lifelong Learning Plan withdrawals • Bankruptcies • Canadian-controlled private corporations Support RESP transactions Review and process:
• Educational Assistance Payments • Accumulated Income Payments • Contribution adjustments • Swaps • Withdrawals • Maintenance of notional information Validate documentation and transaction limits
• Confirm that submitted forms are complete and accurate. • Verify calculations and supporting documentation. • Ensure requests fall within applicable governmental, legislative, and plan limits before processing. Complete government reporting
• Support monthly and annual filings for Canada Education Savings Program grants and incentives. • Support reporting related to the Quebec Education Savings Incentive and other applicable government programs. Resolve exceptions and operational issues
• Analyze problem items raised by branch or front-office teams. • Recommend practical and compliant solutions. • Complete agreed-upon corrections. • Escalate complex matters to the Assistant Manager or Manager when required. Support tax reporting and account maintenance
• Issue duplicate or amended tax receipts. • Set up and amend pre-authorized contribution applications. • Ensure account changes are completed accurately and within required timelines. Perform quality-control reviews
• Review assigned exception and non-exception reports. • Confirm that transactions comply with internal procedures, CRA requirements, and RESP program rules. • Complete other duties as assigned. What You Bring Required Experience
• One to three years of experience administering registered accounts, including income accounts such as RRIFs. • Hands-on experience using the Broadridge platform to maintain accounts and update payment instructions. • Intermediate-level operations or back-office experience within a financial services environment. Knowledge and Functional Skills
• Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to registered retirement and education savings programs. • Strong understanding of registered products and applicable processing requirements. • Ability to interpret legislation, policies, procedures, and government documentation. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing forms, calculations, and transaction requests. • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and exception-resolution skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established service-level timelines. • Sound judgment and the ability to escalate issues appropriately. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
