Job Description: ADMINISTRATION
• To implement and adhere to the KPJU vision, mission, policies and decisions effectively and efficiently. • To plan, organise and coordinate students’ learning experiences to ensure learning objectives are achieved and a safe, conducive learning environment is maintained. • To fulfil all assigned teaching hours. • To teach assigned subjects in accordance with the curriculum and lecturer guide using appropriate and varied teaching methodologies. • To ensure all learning activities are conducted according to the Master Plan. To supervise, teach, and assess students in both academic and clinical settings. • To provide structured feedback on students’ academic and clinical performance to support learning progression. • To design, conduct and evaluate formative, summative and practical examinations in accordance with curriculum requirements. • To formulate and submit examination questions for all assessments. • To maintain confidentiality and integrity in all examination processes (theory and practical). • To serve as an examiner in programme examinations when assigned. • To contribute to the continuous improvement of existing programme curricula and provide ideas, input and support for the development of new academic programmes. • To promote and maintain student discipline in accordance with institutional expectations. • To enforce and uphold student disciplinary rules and regulations in line with KPJU policies.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
• To participate actively in KPJU and all KPJHB quality assurance activities. • To promote and maintain positive corporate culture. • To participate in the implementation of the total quality management system of the KPJU.
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION (OSHA)
• Reporting unsafe practices, conditions, near misses, incident and accidents to General Manager and Secretary of the Safety and Health Committee. • Comply with Company policies, Health and Safety policies. • To take reasonable care for safety and health of herself and other persons who may be affected by her acts or omission at work. • To co-operate with Management of KPJU in the discharge of any duty or requirement imposed on the Management by the Occupational Safety and Health Act or any Regulations made therein. • To wear or use at all times any personal protective equipment or clothing provided by the Management KPJU for the purposes of preventing risks to his/her safety and health. • To comply with any instruction or measure on Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations made therein. • To establish and maintain the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHS). • To establish and maintain any related quality and risk & opportunities in Quality Management System of the department and school.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• To plan, organise and coordinate co-curricular and extracurricular activities that enhance student learning and complement the programme’s academic objectives. • To actively participate in institutional and KPJ Healthcare quality assurance initiatives, ensuring compliance with academic standards, policies, and accreditation requirements. • To promote and uphold a culture of academic excellence and continuous quality improvement, contributing to the effective implementation of quality education and training practices within the university. • To coordinate and oversee student research projects, from proposal development to dissertation completion, including monitoring progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, and facilitating presentations and assessments. • To act as a liaison between the department/school and internal as well as external stakeholders (e.g. Research & Innovation Department, industry partners, funding agencies, and relevant ministries) to support the development and implementation of research activities. • To facilitate and support research collaborations and grant-related initiatives, including identifying funding opportunities, coordinating proposal submissions, and ensuring compliance with institutional and funding body requirements.
Job Requirement: Education:
• 1. Master in Occupational Therapy or related field
Knowledge and Experiences:
• Preferably clinical or industry experience in Occupational Therapy
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge in the respective fields. • Effective teaching and assessment methods for students • Research skills, including data analysis and scientific writing • Student supervision and mentorship in academic and research projects
Technical skills required
• Proficiency in using Learning Management System (LMS), Campus Management Systems (CMS) and teaching aid. • Experience in Occupational Therapy field especially in the industry
Special skills required
• Computer literacy • Communication skills • Teaching methodology
