Job Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate State Registered Nurse to join our Maternity Ward and Special Care Nursery team. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to mothers and newborns, ensuring their well-being and a positive experience throughout their hospital stay.

Job Responsibilities**

* Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum mothers, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans. * Monitor and support laboring mothers, interpreting fetal monitoring strips and administering medications as prescribed. * Assist with deliveries and provide immediate postpartum care to mothers and newborns. * Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in the Special Care Nursery, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing incubators, and assisting with feeding and hygiene. * Educate new mothers on infant care, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and discharge instructions. * Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care. * Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation. * Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards. * Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively. * Participate in continuous professional development and training.

Job Qualifications**

* Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the relevant nursing board. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Maternity Ward or Special Care Nursery setting. * Possession of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is highly desirable. * Strong knowledge of obstetrics, neonatology, and maternal-child health principles. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment. * Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. * Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
